Hey there!
I just wanted to share one of my workouts that is sort of my
go-to when I don’t know what I want to do in the gym. Also I do this workout if I was lazy and didn’t
find a hiit workout =)
I do this workout on a recumbent bike because I use the
fitness center in my apartment complex, and they don’t have a regular
stationary bike. It’s a thirty minute
routine and you can definitely tailor it to your own level of fitness and make
it harder or easier. You can also do
this on an elliptical or even a treadmill.
Personally, I hate ellipticals because the motion of them are so weird and unnatural. They
should make them so that they simulate running biomechanics, in my humble
opinion.
Minute Resistance

2 + 3 5
4 1
5+6 6
7 1
8+9 7
10 1
11+12 8

14+15 9
16 1
17 + 18 10

20+21 10
22 1
23+24 9
25 1
26+27 8
28 1
29+30 7
31 1 (Cool down)
So basically it’s an interval workout, and you just go as
hard as you can on the high resistance, two minute interval. On the ‘rest’ intervals I always try to pedal
faster than I do on the ‘work’ intervals.
By the end of this workout my legs are burning and I’ve sweat through my
shirt. If I remember, I bring a towel to
wipe the sweat off my face so it doesn’t drip in my eyes. I know, you really needed that
information. A helpful tidbit.
FYI I always listen to the “Alternative Endurance Training”
station on Pandora when I do this work out.
I’m a creature of habit I suppose.
Sooo…thanks for reading and let me know if you try this and
what you thought!
