Pretty Peach Nails (with?) Opal Glitter

Maybelline Color Show in Pretty in Peach
Hey there!

I just finished doing my nails and I wanted to share my opinions about the two products I used.

Since spring is taking its time arriving here in Vacationland, I thought maybe if I just pretend it has, mother nature will take pity on me and warm this place up.  So I decided on this really happy peach colored nail polish by Maybelline called Pretty in Peach.  It's an amazing bright orange-toned peach.  This is a color that I would not buy any winter clothes in.  It screams spring as much as any one color could in my opinion. I would say that the pigmentation of this color is so-so.  You definitely can't get away with only one coat.  I did two, but I feel like a third wouldn't have hurt.

Two Coats

I usually am not a huge fan of any sort of glitter, but I figured a little pizzazz couldn't hurt right about now.  I used Opal Glitter by Sinful Colors, which looks so beautiful in the bottle.  I was so excited to see it on my nails, but I ended up pretty disappointed.  Unless your nails are in exactly the right light, you really can't tell that it's there, and I had to go over some nails several times to get the amount of 'glitter specks' (technical term?) that I wanted.

Maybe I should have known that these little specks wouldn't really show up...I don't have enough experience with glitter to know.  On the other hand, I love the peach polish!  I have a feeling that I will be busting it out many more times in the months to come.  Ooh, it would be so nice on the toes!  I must make a mental note to try that out... noted.

Finished!
