Top 5 Lip Products!
Hey!
Today I'm going to tell you about my top 5 lip products! I was thinking about doing 10, but when I got into choosing more products, I realized that I happen to really love these 5 more than any other products.
#5: Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Stellar $5.89 @ Ulta When I first got this lip gloss I hated it. First of all, it's got this doe-foot applicator that has a spoon-like notch in it that makes it very difficult to apply. It is so pigmented that when I first put it on I looked like a clown. A few weeks ago I was experimenting with some bright lip colors, and I tried it again. I've since learned to deposit some color on my lips, and then blend it out with my finger. This makes it a little less harsh, and gives you a lot more control than the applicator. It's still a very vibrant pink, but I've learned to love how it looks! The only problem is that it can be a little drying, so I put Carmex or Chapstick over it, and the color still stays for hours!
#4: Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Fig $24 @ Sephora This is a cool-toned deep-ish pink lipstick that is perfect for an everyday pink lip. It's creamy and hydrating and applies so smoothly. It has that typical lipstick smell, which I don't love, but it's not too strong. And did I mention that the packaging is adorable? It's in this rubbery dark gray tube that looks like someone has...oh, yes...taken a bite out of it. I've been really enjoying wearing this lipstick with pretty much any kind of eye and face make-up. It's such a versatile product with great quality. I really want to try out more from the Bite Beauty line.
#3: Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Rose $22.50 @ Sephora Mine is almost gone!! I will be running back to Sephora to repurchase this gem. It leaves your lips so soft and smooth and leaves a wash of rosy red that makes you look like you were just eating fresh strawberries. It smells like citrus, which is really refreshing, and contrary to other lip treatments, doesn't have that uncomfortable tingling feeling (which I am not keen on). When I started loving this, I went back to get one in another color, and I went with Petal. It's a mauve pink that looks like it would be a really nice nude shade, but I felt like the texture was a little too thckk, and the color just kind of washed me out. I can't comment on any of their other colors, but Petal was a no-go and Rose is a favorite!
#2: Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm $32 @ Sephora This is an expensive product that is an amazing splurge! When you roll up the tube, it appears to be light pink, and when applied to the lips it looks transparent. However, give it a minute or two, and you are left with the perfect pink shade that is literally your lips but better. The formula reacts with your lips to give you a brightness and texture that is "utter bliss" (yes, I just quoted Julia Child). This lip product is such a unique, beautiful surprise...I can't recommend it enough!
#1 Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick $16 @ Sephora Where do I begin? This is definitely my most-used lip product, because it is simply awesome. I love the deep red color it gives your lips, and it feels so smooth and creamy and nice and and...I love it. It smells like vanilla, it applies so smoothly, and even though its red, you can pop it right on without a mirror. It lasts for longer than you would think, since it has such a moisturizing formula. It just feels so nice and is so freakin pretty!
Well, that wraps up my top five lip products, dare I say "of all time"? Yes, I dare.
